THE DARMOTH CARE FUND.
Caring for Darmoth is a full-time challenge. His high quality-of-life is only possible with regular vet visits, special home care, and medical supplies.
Darmoth's family has set up a care fund to help with Darmoth ' s expenses. Contributors will receive a special thank-you gift from Darmoth! Please CONTACT US if you would like more information on making a contribution.
The following are supplies we need on a regular basis. Feel free to email us for more information!
Special Need Items:
- Natural Choice Chicken Meal, Rice & Oatmeal Formula - This particular dog food keeps Dar at his healthiest for his sensitive stomach. (Product info: http://www.nutroproducts.com/ncdry-cro.shtml)
- Vetwrap, Petflex or Co-Flex
- These are flexible bandages that stick to themselves, not to hair, and allow the skin underneath to breathe. These are what we use daily to protect the skin on Dar's legs.
- Catheters - Urinary catheters, size 10 FR / 16"
Long, such as Mentor
Self-Cath Plus or Rusch
FloCath.
- Amforal
(Prescription) or Immodium
AD (OTC).
- Rimadyl
- Rimadyl is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug
(NSAID) indicated for use in dogs for the relief of
pain and inflammation associated with
osteoarthritis.

Want to give Darmoth a special treat? These are some things we daydream about...
- A Digital Camera, since ours is broken and we can no longer take cute photos of Dar for his website.
- A Fountain
Water Bowl with Filter
- Home Again
Microchip ID
- Health Insurance for Dar
- Waterproof, orthopedic Dog Bed
- Dog-O-Ween Costume Designer - We want to WOW them at this year's Dog-o-Ween contest... but a lot of pre-made pet costumes and patterns just won ' t fit or function for Dar. Want to help design a unique and functional costume for Darmoth?
- Shoe Craftsman - We do have a great team working on durable, re-usable, easy-on-and-off, aerodynamic protective "shoes" for Darmoth ' s back legs, to be used instead of the current Vetwrap Bandage solution... but none of the prototypes have been functional yet. Perhaps you have a innovative idea for the design, materials, or implementation of these shoes? We ' re working with heavy-duty fabrics now, but everything from plastic to metal might be an option!
